Methodology & fee sources.
This planning tool uses your demand, cost and settlement assumptions. Profit and cash flow are calculated separately. Forecast months contain 30 days; a weekly view covers the first 13 weeks.
- Revenue excludes pass-through sales tax. Tax can be included in the selected fee base. Fixed order fees are charged once per order; item-based referral minimums and tiers apply per unit where selected.
- Inventory purchases enter cash flow when paid. Only units sold enter profitability. Expected recoverable returns credit inventory cost in profitability and replenish stock after the stated delay. Returned stock carries the entered recovery value; subsequent sales use average inventory carrying cost. Supplier-fulfilled sales reuse recovered stock before purchasing further units. Refunds, return handling and fee credits affect cash at that delay.
- Percentage advertising uses gross pre-refund product revenue or product-plus-shipping revenue, excluding tax. CPA and CPC modes apply the paid-order share. Fixed advertising is a period cost.
- Starting capital is the largest cumulative cash shortfall in the selected horizon plus your minimum buffer. Launch payments are already inside that shortfall. Annual subscriptions are paid upfront and expensed monthly.
- Supplier-fulfilled orders still need funding before payouts. Reorders use forecast demand, lead time, safety stock and incoming stock. Itemised batch costs are scaled proportionally to reorder quantity; verify replacement quotes. Unavailable inventory limits fulfilled orders. Storage uses forecast daily inventory.
- Returns are expected averages, not a prediction. Reserve release occurs at the later of the normal payout date and the entered release delay from sale. The initial hold is a minimum payout day from project start.
- Break-even orders use first-month period costs and positive variable contribution. Price is solved through the fee engine against first-month planned demand. Break-even ROAS uses the same pre-refund revenue base as advertising and is before fixed overhead. Promotional periods and storage changes can alter future break-even.
- Manual fulfilment quotations are required. No dimensional FBA/WFS fee formula is invented. Taxes, seller eligibility, special surcharges, financing, delays beyond your inputs and unentered costs are excluded.
